Ylang Castro

Name Ylang Castro
Titles Binibining Ylang
Specie Fairy-Human
Age 18
Nationality Perezian
House Castro

Third-in-line to the crown. One of the three gems of Perezia. Half-human and half-fairy, she is able to control flora. Thanks to her abilities, her nation is the top producer of harvest worldwide.

Though a princess, Tala seldom participates in politics.

Appearance

TYlang is a woman of tall stature and fair skin. Her hair is black and wavy with bangs that swoop across her forehead. Her hair is commonly tied back with a white ribbon.

She wears Atharian fashion and fabrics, preferring them over Perezia’s fashion. However, she frequently complains about Perezia being too hot to properly enjoy her preference.

Personality

Ylang is reckless and mischievous, enjoying the privileges that her rank affords her—all the power, but none of the responsibility. Her siblings and parents express exasperation at her tendency to disappear randomly, sneaking out of the home without permission and without proper protection.

Despite her mischief, Ylang is loved by all around her. Many describe her as having an undeniable charm, so much so to the point that it’s impossible to dislike her. Ylang takes advantage of this charm to get what she wants as well.

Sheltered all her life, Ylang is naive to the plights of the common people.

Relationships

“Domingo”

The two meet after Ylang sneaks out yet again, with Domingo introducing himself as a farmer. In truth, he is an assassin sent to kill Ylang after appealing to her naivete that may cause her to share political secrets. They grow close after he interests her with a promise of sharing stories that happen in the countryside, so long as she visits him. However, they grow too close, and Domingo ends up sharing far more truths with her than he intended, revealing to her the suffering that the common people endure while the nobility enjoy their luxuries.

Along the way, Domingo grows soft and hesitates to fulfill his mission, but gives in when his sister’s illness grows worse. Despite this betrayal, Ylang accepts her fate and wishes him and his sister well before succumbing to death.
